WSL: It has finished West Ham 2-1 London City at Victoria Road in the first of the weekend’s WSL fixtures. Kelly Gago and Viviane Asseyi scored the goals for the home side, with Danielle van de Donk bagging a consolation for the Lionesses.

Manchester United: Manchester United supporters’ group The Red Army has said there will be no flag display ahead of Sunday’s derby against Manchester City as part of a protest which follows the club’s investigation into ticket touting.

On Thursday, United revealed they had banned 685 season tickets following a contentious probe which had been condemned by many fans and supporter groups, with protests already planned for Sunday afternoon.

The Red Army said they will make their own views known by removing their regular flag display in the Stretford End and replacing it with a single banner above the players’ tunnel which will read: “The way you treat us is a disgrace.”

In a statement, the group said: “This isn’t a ‘TRA’ message, it’s a message on behalf of every genuine fan group, match-going supporter, supporters’ club and fan representative who has either contacted us directly or been negatively impacted by the recent behaviour of the club.

“It’s an honest, heartfelt cry for recognition from the maligned, vilified, and misrepresented beating heart of our football club – the generational match-going supporters. Neither is this solely a ‘Manchester United’ problem, this is a league-wide crisis that should be addressed at every club, regardless of rivalries and history. Without drastic changes, there will be no rivalries in the future vision for football shared by the decision makers.”

In the statement, the Red Army called for match-going supporters to be prioritised in the club’s fan engagement process. On Thursday, United released an update on their investigation into touting, revealing that 685 accounts have been subject to a ban while 464 supporters received a reduced sanction or final warning.

The club said the investigation had identified 1,617 accounts that required further review due to “unusual activity”. Of those stripped of season tickets, 113 failed to respond to requests for further information, 73 did not appeal and 499 received bans upheld by an independent appeals panel.

A club statement read: “Bans were issued where there was significant misuse of the ticketing system for financial gain. This included the operation of organised ticketing networks, which were controlling, selling and distributing tickets from hundreds of accounts.”

The 1958 supporters’ group responded by calling for fans to “stand united” against the “season ticket ban fiasco” in a protest ahead of the derby, saying a “line has been crossed”.

Fans have been asked to gather outside the Bishop Blaize pub near Old Trafford at 3pm.

Championship: It’s finally over at Pride Park, where the hosts, Derby County, have been beaten by Birmingham City. Bobby Clark fired the Rams in front in the first half, only for Birmingham to equalise through a Carlos Vicente header. Paik Seung-ho won the game for the Blues, converting a Liam Millar corner with an unmissable header from close range.

Championship: Thierry Gale left it late to snatch all three points for Bolton in their match against Cardiff City, scoring the only goal of the game in the 90th minute. At the Hawthorns, there were no second-half goals as West Brom and QPR shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw. They’re still playing at Pride Park, where Birmingham City lead Derby County 2-1 in the 13th minute of added time.

Aston Villa v Nottingham Forest: Unai Emery makes one change to the team that started against Club Brugge in midweek. Joao Gomes is serving the final match of the three-game ban he received for getting sent off against Brighton on the opening weekend of the season and is replaced by Ross Barkley. Nottingham Forest make two changes to the side that drew with Spurs, with Oliver Glasner picking Ousmane Diomande and Daniel Munoz ahead of Nikola Milenkovic and Jair Cunha.

Crystal Palace v Ipswich Town: Walter Benitez starts in goal for Crystal Palace in place of Dean Henderson, who is not in the matchday squad. Honest Ahoner and Jorgen Strand Larsson also come into the side. Jack Clarke starts for Ipswich, with Daizen Maeda dropping to the bench.

Bournemouth v Brentford: Marco Rose sends out the same Bournemouth side that started their 2-2 draw with Newcastle. Unbeaten Brentford make four changes to the side that drew with Sunderland last weekend. Aaron Hickey, Jannik Schuster, Jaidon Anthony and Yehor Yarmoliuk all get the nod from Keith Andrews.

Chelsea v Hull City: Levi Colwill and Malo Gusto start for Chelsea in place of Maxence Lacroix and Josh Acheampong. Moises Caicedo remains sidelined with injury. Hull make one change from their 0-0 draw with Aston Villa – Matt Crooks comes in for Lucas Gourna-Douath in midfield.

Liverpool v Fulham: Liverpool make three changes to the side that beat Atletico Madrid in midweek. Kostas Tsimikas, Ryan Gravenberch and Victor Munoz come into the side. Still looking for his first league point as Fulham head coach, Alvaro Arbeloa brings Sander Berge and David Affengruber in a bid to add some much-needed backbone.

Championship latest: We have three early kick-offs in the second tier and it’s half-time in all of them. It’s scoreless between Bolton Wanderers and Cardiff City at the Toughsheet Community Stadium, while Birmingham City took just two minutes to equaliuse and make it 1-1 with Birmingham City shortly before the break at Pride Park. At the Hawthorns, West Brom and QPR have traded goals and it’s also 1-1 at half-time. A win would send the Baggies top of the table, while QPR will go second if they take all three points.

Meanwhile in Scotland: It’s quarter-finals weekend in the Scottish League Cup and last night Hearts ran out comfortable 3-0 winners against their Championship Stenhousemuir at Ochilview Park to book their place in the semi-finals.

Third tier Ross County, the lowest ranked side left in the competition, welcome Hibs to Victoria Park for today’s only 3pm kick-off, ahead of Kilmarnock’s clash with Aberdeen later this evening. Celtic travel to Ibrox tomorrow for a noon kick-off that will see one of the Old Firm Big Dogs exit the tournament.
